About Us
Eye on Artist ~ Deirdre Waer ~ mural. collage. craft. paint.
Waer's Art navigates a crossroad between abstraction and brutal reality. Her lyrical yet sharp provocations often manifest in fabric and crafts, canvas, or found objects. Supporting and collaborating with artists worldwide, she is prolific, creating almost daily with a consistency that never blurs. Her realm encompasses a gamut of color versus purpose; light versus dark, and my favorite, rewriting the fantastic with strange elements, much like the vibrant murals and painting styles that inspire her work. With 25 years of teaching experience, I offer bookings in the N. Seattle area or virtual sessions. My mobile art studio accommodates groups of 1–15, making it perfect for all levels of artists.
